Hey guys, new here. So i bought a new-to-me 2000 VFR800 on the cheap and the bike was in great mechanical shape but body wise is beat up. Either way the bike had no weird noises or anything until i started doing some work on it. Took the air filter out and cleaned it, took off the air box and got rid of the PAIR valve and plugged the lines from the reed valves instead of blocking off with plates. Also noticed the 4 hoses going to the air box from each cylinder, thinking this was cali emissions i just left em in the air box them until i could plug them. Changed spark plugs and drained coolant and changed oil, new chain, new tires on the way. So after that i forgot to plug in the vacuum hose to the MAP and got mad trying to find the issue for an hour after reading codes and fiddling with the thing haha. Got it back together and it runs like a champ (after adjusting idle). BUT now for some reason when the pump cycles before start up it seems to gargle like its blowing air in the tank? It is very weird, especially since the bike still pulls like an ox through the whole rpm like before? worried a line in the pump may be rubbed or something, thinking of doing the fuel filter anyway so can someone please help? also does anyone know where the EVAP canister is to see if the bike is a CALI model?
