hey, Ghost here, I got a problem. I was movin down highway last weekend. high rpms... @@ i blew a fuse in my 87 VFR700F2 Interceptor. Replaced the fuse, and now the fuel pump isnt working. I disconnected the fuel lines, removed the pump from the frame, pluged it in, and cranked the bike expecting to feel the solenoid "click", while keeping my fingers over the ports... nothing. now what? the bike is in perfect condition after i restored it last year. Only damn thing that was original milage now is this stupid fuel pump and the fuel pump relay.

BTW, I have miscel. parts from a salvage bike which are for sale. (engine has 24K on it)

    Help!

    Fuel pump problems

    Hi there

Sounds to me like you have blown the points assembly on the back of the pump. If these stick the fuse blows. Undo the screw on the black housing at the back of the pump unstick the points and dress them with some emery cloth. All should now be well.
