Fuel gauge inaccurate VF700 1985

Hey everyone,

I got an inaccurate fuel gauge reading. When the tank is full it reads 3/4 tank. Does anyone know the resistance of the sender or what the issue might be?

 

Most of the fuel gauges don't read very accurate. Mine shows less on the gauge than what's in the tank. It's more accurate now than what it used to be. I bent the float arm to increase the angle,float sets higher and less movement at the variable resistor on the unit.

I didn't go far enough to make it right on accurate. I have come to like it this way though. It will show empty and still have about half gallon before reserve.
