Is there someone whith a wobble in the front ?

I have a 2006 with 46000Km (29000Mil). The problem start near 40000km. At arround 80km/hr (50m/h) I get a wobble on the front wheel.... And it is a real one...you nead your two hands to hold it!!!

I change my tire, before it was Mez 6, and now I put Batlax 014. And the problem still.

And, the more charge on the bike (in the sidecase) the more powerfull the wobble...

I check the front wheel bearring. It seem to be good. Is it possible that it come from the neck fork bearring ???

It is realy bad, because otherwise that, I love this bike.

Place the bike on the center stand. Grab the bottom of the front forks, lift and try and move it front to back .... if there's movement in the steering head bearing, it will need to be re-torqued to specs. I can't imagine they'd be shot on a 2006!? But then whad-da I know ... maybe you do a lot of wheelies. :) Lord knows, you have a lot of miles on a 2006.... ride on! :)

Sounds like a bad tire from the get go. Did you have this balenced on a machine or by hand? could have lost a weight? VFRs in nature are sensitive to tires being right. Mine had the head shake only when coming down thru 40mph hands off, I know, shouldn't do that, still ended up being a tire thing, once iIwent to Pirelli diablos it's gone all together, Yes I'd be check for head bearing play and every nut and bolt on the front end as if I'm reading this right this is more than a hands off coasting problem, they don't to this.

I would agree with RVFR, it sounds like either the tire itself or a balance issue. Since balancing is much cheaper than buying a new tire, that's what I would start with.

    KC-10 FE out...
