I have seen some 86, 87 VFR's with front turn signals that do not stick out on the stock arms. They are ATTACHED to the fairing....I really like the looks...much more modern looking. Can someone tell me if those are aftermarket? From a later model???? Much trouble making the change? Would like to put those on mine. Thanks, Dean
There's two types . . . Dean There's 2 ways of getting flush fitting front indicators - although one's far easier than the other. Easiest (and cheapest) first - aftermarket. There are several different types available, in various colours. Each indicator attaches to the wiring loom by two bullet connectors, so not great difficulty connecting them up. The indicator bodies themselves will either stick on (not so good) or bolt through the fairing (small holes - not too scary). More tricky - NOS or secondhand Honda parts. The UK/Euro FJ/FK ('88/'89) models had flush fitting indicators as standard. They were only available in the colours of the bikes of those years (black and white - and a couple 'others). Couldn't tell you whether they amde it across to the US. Good luck finding 'em though - they're hard to come by, although they turn up occasionally on UK eBay. Neil
I'd love to find something like this that fits the VF1000F, does any know if the signals that fit the 750 would fit the 1000? Mark
I was going through our local VIP autoparts store looking for trailer lights... I turned around and was looking at a package of Dodge Truck cab lights.... I have to admit I was thinking they would look rather snazzy on the side of my fairing.... They are actaully the later model smaller derivitives not the huge ones like the Ford ones.... I'm still working up the courage to try it out... LOL
