Got my wheels back from paint, and when I installed the front I notice the rotors were mounted on the wrong side. The rim and tire are mounted correct. But the arrow on the rotors are facing backward. Will this be a problem?

+3, they're directional for a reason, they will bite the pads differently and not stop as well.

I know this is an old threax but I had a similar case. I ordered the wrong side rotor and it is costy and a lot of hassle to get another one, I installed the left rotor part on the right side of the wheel and it works perfectly (the other side is correct by the way). It doesn't look like there is much difference in the holes and it is really hard to see a directional pattern unless you compare and look at the arrow. What would happen if i keep them the way they are?
By the way my bike is not an abs model, vfr800 6th gen 2008

My opinion (and it is just that) is that just the drilling pattern is different, and the only reason for the difference is fashion. I can't think of a reason why this would have any affect on braking performance, safety etc. If it feels normal (and I'm guessing you had a buckled disc before so it will feel wonderful) just ride the thing.

To funny, I almost did this very thing, but spotted the arrows. Then also thought whats the diff? hmm a closer look shows nothing, but since I'm not using new pads, figure I best put he same disc with the same pads
