So. Doing some research it seems that the stock spring rate on my '10 is .75 and a free length of 15 inches. I have a set of OEM 07 600rr springs from my old CCS bike and was contemplating a spring swap. The 600 has a 1.0 spring rate but the free length is 9.58 inches. I'm thinking of making a longer spacer to make up for the extra 6.58 inches of free length.

    What say you?

I've also thought of a fork swap all together from a 600 but I think they are much shorter.

You should talk with Jamie Daugherty at Daugherty Motorsports before moving forward, firstly for safety, and secondly for the performance you are hoping for. He is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. You won't regret talking with him. His number is 260-710-4049

BIG +1 for Outboard John's recommendation.

I have a Daugherty Motorsports CBR929 shock upgrade on my 5th gen and it is BY FAR the best money I have spent on the bike so far. Jamie was extremely helpful and super easy to deal with. If anyone can give you helpful hints on what to do with your suspension JAMIE is the one to ask.

He just did my forks on the 1200. I'll ride it in a few weeks when it's done and try to chime in.

He actually just did front and rear on my BMW f800gs. So far I'm impressed. I hope to get offroad soon to get a real idea of the improvement. I'll type up a review but most likely post it on f800 forum or on advrider for other GS riders.
