fork size on 84 ceptor vf700f

    Hey all, I want to get a head light/guage kit to start my street fighter convert. What size are the front forks, ie; 42mm 41mm on my 84 ceptor vf700f? Anyone have any input for this? Thnks!!!! Ry

    info U seek should be on VFR wiki, grasshopper: model year specifications and I think the first gen were skinny

    VFR wiki didnt have the fork info, I read somewhere that the V45 sabre had 39mm forks, is this true and if so would the 84 vf700f have the same ones?

    For first generation:
    500cc bikes have 37mm forks
    700-750cc bikes have 39mm forks
    1000-1100cc bikes have 41mm forks

    but keep us posted on the progress of ur SF project
    I'm esp interested as my S model has had some customizing by crash and am looking @ alt headlight setups.
