Is there a way to mount a fork brace on a 5gen? Seems like having one could only help stiffen up the front a little. And, it would probably help lengthen the life of the fork seals. Wonder why they don't come factory with one? I would love to be able to pick the brains of the designers/engineers of these bikes and ask they why they did the things they way they did.

I agree with you that it could only help those spindly little fork legs to have one. But im guess ing that by the crappy suspension to begin with it was more of what the bikes intended purpose is and thats as a sport/touring bike not a sport bike. Honda had the cbr 900/ 929 etc plus the cbr 600 for that type of riding. But im with you how nice it would have been had they wrapped a pure sportbike chassis around the v-4. There are plenty of people who have done it themselves though. I especially like the ones who have put a rc51 fork on their vfrs and comparable shock. That rc front end just looks like it belongs there to begin with.
