Can you do me a quick favor? Can you measure the length and height of the OEM "HONDA" logo that's on the lower fairing? I've got a RWB 1985 VF500F and a full aftermarket lower (Spec II) that I'm having painted OEM white right now, and I'm trying to decide on a final paint scheme for it. I've done a little Photoshop work, and I'm really digging the RWB 07 VFR800 paint layout right now on mine.

I can get those logos from a non-Honda vendor, just need to know the size.

    Thanks a lot.

The width is 11-3/4" if measured at the bottom from the "H" to the "A", as the bottom is wider than the top. The height is slightly more than 1-1/4". Post up some pictures of the final result when you get there.

Well, here's the quickly-done PS photo. I'm liking it. I'd swap the V-FOUR logo for the HONDA one probably.

Selling your 1000R, I see, stewartj239? And the 86 750 as well? Looks like you're clearing our the stable a bit. Got your eye on something else maybe? Don't keep it to yourself...fill us in!

It does look good. Have you tried moving the logo a little more forward and lower? That's how it is on the '07.

That's funny. I just posted my reply while you were adding the new one. It looks better, but I'd see what it looks like by bringing it down a little more.

Yes, I just put them both up on eBay last night. I have a thread on here that I started a week or so ago giving you guys the heads up. For the condition of both bikes, nobody has told me yet that I'm way too high, but that is where I'm starting and I can always come down.

    http://vfrworld.com/forums/1st-2nd-...76-might-selling-my-1986-vf1000r-vfr750f.html

What I'm doing is getting a couple more MX bikes at the end of the year. The kids are really into it and I want to focus on that while they're young. I don't need to sell the R and 750 to do it, but I'm going through one of those things where I'm asking myself if I need them. Right now, I have 9 bikes and we're out of space. No complaints from the wife, but I have this big problem with acquiring bikes, but not getting rid of any. So that is where I'm at. I don't ride either one, so I'm kind of testing the waters. If they don't sell, then I might just keep them. We'll see.

If you are asking aboot the center between the lowers it is black.......kinda has to be as the front tire toss's rocks at it and it gets pretty beat up.

Is it to busy with both? "Honda. Vfour". Inquiring minds want to know. Ok, I'd like to know.

The left and right cowl are separate pieces that wrap around the black center piece.

I kinda like the last pic with 'Honda V-Four' on it. In the other PS pics the words just looked too small for the fairing/bike. Just my opinion though.

yeah, I should have measured the width of the cowl right where I'm thinking of running the blue area to see how wide it was. I know the HONDA logo is about 12" long, but I dropped off the fairing for painting before all of this logo-talk started and I didn't measure it first. So...the HONDA logo may stretch further across and be larger on it than I have shown. If you've got this bike and this Spec II fairing and wanna lay a ruler on it, be my guest!

    You readin' this, Captain 80s?

Hey...that HONDA logo on the bottom of the R/W/B 800....that thing is silver in color, right? Saw one today @ The Rock Store, and it was sorta light silver. I thought they were white?

That is correct. It is more like a metallic silver.

Personally, I would move the "Interceptor" down into the blue as well. On the same plane as the "Honda VFR" or "Honda" if that is the way you go. Presently in your pix, it is on the red portion.
