Sounds like you have a fork seal leaking. Forks consisit of an upper and lower tube. The lower is the bottom half where the brake caliper and wheel mounts and the upper is the shinier tube the slides into the tripple clamps up by the tank. There is a bleck rubber cover about halfway down the tube where the two meet. The upper slides into the outer. under that cover is a seal to keep the fork oil inside it. If that seal goes bad (especially due to age) it will need to be replaced. If you don't have a factory service manual and do not have the knowledge and skil to do this yourself, take it to a dealer or local bike repai shop you trust and have the seals in the one that is leaking replaced. I would also suggest have the otheside done as well and then you will not have to worry about it leaking at a later date.
