Anyone notice that the Euro version of the VFR1200F has a flash to pass button on the left controls, but they always take it of the American version. Other companies leave this on the American version even though 90% of American drivers don't understand the courtesy of moving over when faster vehicles approach.

On the 1000RR's I know you could just buy the Euro control and it would hook right up... Any thoughts?

This actually brings up an interesting question for our 6th gen brothers outside the USA. My left control housing seems like it should have a flash to pass button but there is a little black panel there instead. So, did 6th gen's come with a button installed there in other countries, and would the different switch panel work on a USA 6th gen??????????

Metallican: the fifth gens are the same way with a panel over where the flash to pass button should be.

Even where they have signs posted 'Slower traffic keep to the right' the morons stay in the left lane. In my truck I will get behind these slowbies and flash my brights and they still don't get the message. Sometimes I wish I drove a tank and then just run them over.

The wiring is in place and has been in European cars for a long time. I have a 66 MB and the flasher is wired in parallel with the horn.

Best bet if ya don't want to trace the circuit on your bike and install the right switching, at least try not to confuse the dimmer switch with the kill switch.

Left laners are a PITA and yer always gonna have them whats pay they taxes and are gonna take theys half right out of the middle, flashers or no flashers.

Any real flashers here? Got any good stories? LOL

Well no, but how about this, a couple Christmas parties ago the office chick that cant take more than two drinks without getting puke sick hammered sat on the front porch of the bosses house at the end of the party and critiqued everyone that came and went to the tune of "she has great tits" and so on. Those of us outside with our cigars were trying to get her to show us hers when her husband came and found her, threw her over his shoulder, wished us all Happy Holidays and took her to the car. Shoot.

I think it would be illegal to flash to pass in California, or at the very least it would be grounds for a lawsuit. As far as I can tell, it's illegal to do anything that might make somebody feel that they are in the wrong, or that they should consider changing their bad behavior. It might interrupt their important conversation, or cause them to spill their latte...

You think people are retarted where your from? Come down here to Arkansas! Its amazing.. If you flash someone here be ready for a brake check then a fight. When you flash a stupid person they get confused. Confused idiots can be very dangerous lol Its also worth mentioning that most of the idiots out there driving don't have insurance. Good point sir, that's how I do it now. Just curious as to how much a pain it would be to install a real one, since my buddies c50 had one, why can't I eh??

Another use for either type flasher that is not used much anymore is to alert somebody in the daytime, going in the opposite direction that there is a LEO on the prowl.

One of my "crew" has a horn from a Burlington Northern diesel/electric locomotive mounted on his truck. Runs off a high pressure tank salvaged from a scuba outfit. We talked about someday running it off a propane supply just for fun. No, I am not going to tell anyone how to build one..
