I did a search to see if there were any threads regarding the airbox flapper valve and came up with nada. I know the RC51 guys are removing and or dissabling their flapper valves in search of better performance. Does anyone know if the flapper on my 98 model VFR is intended to tune the intake system or to reduce noise at certain RPM ranges?

I just had the K&N filter out for a clean and re-oil. In the process, I plugged the vacume line to see if it did anything. It is a little noisier at low RPM but otherwise no difference that I can detect. I guess I just answered my own question.

The sun is shining and my new Dunlops are screaming for road! Ciao.:bolt:
