I looked into the flapper mod-pulling the plug under the tank on some kind of pollution device-looks like it helps a little at low speed. Some more research on air filters-the only one that looks like it actually does something is the pipercross. The snorkel mod looks like not a good idea-possible water into a air box is a big no for me as extra noise-not needed-no extra power-why bother. My carbon canister mod-took about 2.5 pounds off and easy to change oil filter. Plus 2 bos slip-on saved 19 + pounds off-added a little torque and HP. I am going to try the flapper mod when my new OEM air filter comes as well as hit the intake with some gummount cleaner. I have about 5500 miles on the air filter. I don't want to spend the money on the pipercross right now-I should have though instead of going oem filter. I didn't realize that the FI will adj for the extra flow of the pipercross. I was afraid of the lean condition looks like it won't hurt anything. ZG touring working very good, in clear.:lever:

Lads the brown and green wire connection under the tank, where does it originally lead to something with exhaust!?

I removed the snorkel without any worries of water getting in due to the fact the air box is under the gas tank and behind the frame if water was going to get in it would be sucked in the snorkel from the back of the front wheel riding in wet conditions without the snorkel you take away that due to the fact that the air box is no longer sucking air from behind the front wheel

so snorkel mod good-no water more air flow, flapper mod good, carbon canister removed-2.5 pounds, 2bos carbon silp-on 19.5 pounds gone., New oem filter coming so I will see if these things help-I think they will a little is better than nothing. The VFR King strikes again-2006 800 ABS IN BLACK-BEST VFR MADE, part of that reasoning is the famous SUNOFWOLF rides it:snowman::whoops::hi2:
