The hi-low beam headlight switch on my 2001 is flaky. Sometimes when I press the toggle forward to select high beam it turns off for a second -- obviously not a good thing. If I press the switch in a slow and very precise manner it never flakes out, which makes me 99% sure the switch is the culprit. I opened the switch up to see what was wrong but it's hard to see inside it. If I replace the whole switch assembly does it just plug into the wiring harness using connectors, or do I have to solder it in? If anyone can provide detailed steps for replacing it that would be much appreciated.
