Earlier this year I compared the Kathmandu, as well as the Tourmaster Epic, and Joe Rocket Ballistic 7. I ended up purchasing the Olympia AST. It has by far the best abrasion protection and hot weather ventilation of the group - it's comfortable up to 80F and wearable up to 90F - as long as you are moving to push air through it. The water proof capibility is built in so it does not need a separate water proof liner. As long as all the waterproof zippers for the vents are closed it is 100% waterproof. With the insulating liner it's warm down to 40F with just a T shirt underneath, and with a thin sweater down to 32F, at sustained highway speeds. Highly recommend this jacket.
