I took my 03 vfr 800 for its first, ( and prob last) track day. Its a wonderfull street bike, but shit on the track. Im a expert level club road racer, but I could barely keep up with the fast novice 600s. Cept for in the turns. It needs more power, and better suspension bad. Was thinking about having the stock rear shock resprung, and putting on a set of f4i forks, wheel, and brakes. I need more brakes, ive already put on the ebc hh pads. The extreams are to grabby for my taste. Im also going to put in racetech springs in the forks. Anyone have any suggestions if I keep this a track/ street bike. Ive already got a R1 track bike, and a thumper. But its fun bringing something different.
Hey, the turns are were it matters! Well you've nailed it, the suspension upgrades will make the VFR way more fun on the track. BZ
