Today is my first time ever on a forum. I am a bit nervous but here it goes. I have purchase my 2003 vfr 800 this winter in Montreal, for me it was a dream come true.:thumbsup:I took my first ride the 1 of April 2009 it was pretty cool were I live but a could wait! I have been smiling even since.:biggrin:Now with about 3000 Km on it, some good trip with my girlfriend I have some question to ask to those with more experience on the bike then me.1- Where can I find a good fender eliminator 2 - I am 5'11'' i knew before hand that the riding position was more sport then touring, that is the reason i buy this bike ,touring pleasure with my girlfriend and pure fun alone but event if my hand come numb for time too time my real problem is the front brake lever witch is too hight and I have to lift my finger to grab it, brake and returned them because there no way i can ride like that, to crampy, and it make me fell insecure for emergency braking because i can not ride with 2 finger on the lever.I try to lower it but the master cylinder bump again the clip on ???? I used to ride with 2 finger on the lever on other bike but with my VFR impossible :frown:what coudl i do to lower it ?? Even if i buy better adjustable lever to reduce distance to the bar "Where can i buy better adjustable lever" it wont lower the master cylinder 3 - One off the reason i wanted this bike too is for the swing arm:tongue: can i chrome or polish it?? Thank in advance
Batter, welcome to VFRworld and welcome to the world of forums. Remember at all times that these places (forums) can get crazy. Sometimes they're great and sometimes they make you angry. All in all they are an awesome place to go and hook up with others who have the same in common. There's a wealth of knowledge here. If I can offer some advice... play around with the search for a while for all the things that are of interest to you and see what comes up. There is also a cool WIKI here as well... VFRwiki - VFRwiki there is a lot of good info in there. Congrats on your dream coming true.
Welcome to the forum! Like Jason said, this site is a source of helpful information and outrageous tips. As for levers, check out Pazzo or ASV levers-I don't have one but my friends tell me they love it. As for chroming your swing arm, I don't have any info about that but some members can share their knowledge about it. Congrats and ride safe.
link to modding stock plate mount is option to buying fender eliminator http://vfrworld.com/forums/modifications/21478-donkey-tail-removal.html Piazzo makes a good lever but $ 180.00 a set.

Welcome, Battar. If you do a search you will find some good discussions of hand numbness. A lot of the solutions boil down to changing the way you sit on the bike. I found them very helpful.
do you have stock bars or Heli bars on your bike? you should have enough room w/ Heli bars to move lever down.
