Picked up a tariff model 700 vff today, 24.8K miles, in pretty good shape shows scuffing on the left front fairing and has the signal light loose on the same side. I am sure it was layed down.
Bought it for my first bike from a guy who had owned it since 2002. Started right up and idled nicely at 1200rpm. A few light twists on the throttle brought it up to 5K with a nice kinda high strung V -twin sound. I didn't rev it any higher but did hear the previous owner tach it up pretty good in the first two gears.
It definitely doesn't sound anything like a I-4 600, but I think it will serve me well for a first bike.
Initially I will probably just ride it to work and back, once I get my confidence up and get the suspension , wheels etc updated I may see about some power adder mods.

Anyone care to comment on common or readily available mods?
