I bought my '00 just a couple weeks before the first of a nasty string of snowstorms here in the Denver area, and finally put in a nice 400 mile day today with a riding group from Colorado Springs. The VFR was AWESOME! I rode right behind the 2 fastest riders all day, with 8 others behind. One rode a CBR1000 and the other a Kaw 636, and I had no problem keeping up at all through the rocky mountains, however I had to really keep the revs up in the power band for most of the time. Great day riding, great bike - I'm keeping this one until I can't ride anymore from old age!
We've had trouble getting product transported out of the Denver area, I've heard you guys had a couple of serious storms. A good 400 mile ride is exactly what I need right now, but to much wetness on the roads up here in Washington right now not to mention the sand and gravel :frown: 400 miles sounds like a great way to get to know your VFR :thumb:
Nice to hear woo hoo fun huh? Question, did you change that oil and do a lot of off throttle compression runs?
