I'm glad I found this site. I presume I'll be spending a lot of time here. Thanks people.

    On to my dilemma:

I've ordered the Givi V35 hard saddlebags for my 2006 (unfortunately still in the mail) which I intend to leave on the bike semi-permanently. Hopefully they don't look to stupid in real life. I didn't order the hard trunk because I don't like the look of a trunk. So I'm also looking at a tankbag and soft trunk for times when I take an extended trip or need more removable luggage.

I've been looking at Nelson-Riggs CL200 and CL350 bags, and the Rapid Transit Recon 19 and Recon 23. Anyone have any experience with either of these or want to recommend anything else? I live in Alberta, Canada where we get all types of weather, sometimes the gamut all within one day so toughness is the biggest factor. Not to worried about scratches. If your bike isn't getting worn in, it's not getting used enough.

Sorry if this question gets beat to death, but I always do some research with other people on the net before "blindly" buying something that I may not like.
Thx again for this awesome site and for any tips.

Thanks for the feedback big3. I SO wanted to get a 25th anniv. VFR but couldn't afford it at the time, and I believe there were only about 3-5 delivered to my province.

    Anyone else with advice?
