Been checking out the forum for a few months, and thought i'd toss up some pix of my 87 700f for my inaugural post. Have put about 1200 miles on it (daily rider) since I picked it up. So far have changed oil (RotellaT6), clutch/brake fluid, air filter, and cleaned/lubed chain a couple of times. I've ridden old airhead Beemers exclusively for the last 15 years, so this bike is a bit of a screamer for me. Really enjoying getting to know it. No issues yet, besides running out of gas once (dummy light didnt come on). As y'all can see, it's not all original, but it is clean, and seems to have been very well maintained. Came with an '86 750 parts bike; essentially a rolling chassis with a motor in it, and another extra 700 (California) engine. Tons of spares: filters, gaskets, seals, jets, dash, a seat, and some body work. Was kind of torn between getting an 86 (aesthetics), and an 87 due to the minor upgrades Honda did. Was sold on the 87 after seeing CaptB's bike at a show here in AZ a few months back. THAT is a sweet ride. Thinking about cobbling all of those spares into a weekend track bike, or an RC30 replica. Has anyone tried to fit Airtech RC30 bodywork onto a 2nd gen frame? Try to spot the mods, there's quite a few. Maybe you guys will find some that i'm not even aware of...I'm by no means an expert!

Did I mention the 4>2>1 Yoshimura pipe? A bit of polish/elbow grease will get it looking new. No major dings/scratches

Love the look of a freshly scrubbed/lubed chain

The PO came up with this cool set of slugs to slide into the center stand, so you dont have to keep it mounted on the bike. Just line it up with the stand mounting holes on the frame, and fish the slugs out with a piece of 10 gauge wire.

    Cheers! Moho
