    Hello all,

I've been reading here a long time and decided I'm well over due for a post. I currently own a 5th Gen 2K VFR800 which is my second VFR. I posted a couple of pics, select "Photo Gallery" under my avatar.

I had mistakenly sold my 1997 4th Gen when I only had one bike in the garage. Commuting in traffic and slow drives around the park with a passenger just didn't work. However, I could ride it all day in the countryside or highway... the sound and off-beat vibration was fantastic. A friend at work talked me out of the VFR when he saw me pricing a 2002 FZ1 at the local Yamaha dealer. After a year of owning the FZ1 I decided I really needed several bikes and started looking for another Gen 4. Little more than 4 years later I ran across the 2K VFR and decided I needed to give it a go as I missed the V4 sound and character.

I look forward to any opinions/discussions that others may have after riding (or owning) both 4th and 5th gen VFRs.

Still looking for a clean, straight, low mileage 4th Gen VFR with service history,
    Noid

Welcome to the club. I just sold my 4th Gen and now have a 1999 5th Gen VFR. Both are great bikes. I am older than I look.
