I bought the VFR on New years Eve, and have logged ~2000 miles ~ 5 months. Tomorrow I finally take a decent trip on her. Going from Birmingham AL, to Chattanooga TN, and then to the Robbinsville NC area. I hope to ride the Cherohala and The Dragon, along with the Blue Ridge Parkway for awhile. Should be ~700 miles in 2 days, with a long weekend in SC with some family. It's gonna rain possibly, so I'll probably get caught in that on the way. Will return to Bama on Monday. Maybe take the LONG way home. Should be fun. btw: I hope to be around Deal's Gap on Thursday, so if you're there and see a 2007 Candy Red VFR - feel free to yell at me, and I'll ride with ya'. Edit: I forgot I changed my ride plan. Probably ~600 miles in 2 days instead of 700 in 3.
Sounds like fun, finally you get to put some mileage on her. I have only put about 700 miles on mine in the last month since I got her. Need to line up a good road trip to somewhere.
A few friends and I rode 1250 miles last Thursday - Sunday. I did 550 miles of it coming home Sunday. It made for a very long day and a sore Monday but we had a great time.
