    Hello,

Just purchased a new 07 VFR. Traded in my 2004 Speed Triple, I loved the Triumph but hated the cost of replacement parts. I have almost 700 miles on the new bike. It doesn’t compare to the Triple in power or handling but still has plenty to keep me smiling inside the helmet.

Not proud of this but I will share it anyway. I unloaded the new bike, put on the helmet and headed to the local school parking lot to scrub the tires. I didn’t make it a mile down the road before I dropped it. I was turning left after stopping at a stop sign and the bike slide out from under me (less than a mile). Over $1000.00 to replace the parts that got scratched up. After I finished my rant I picked it up and continued to the school lot and scrubbed the tires. Thankfully I had not installed the hard bags or it would have been another $400.00.

I hope to put a slip on exhaust and figured this would be the place to ask? Looking for something load and throaty but not obnoxious.

    Welcome aboard
Don't be too hard on yourself. Many of us have dropped our bikes(even a few of our most season riders this year alone). It is more an insult to our own egos than anything.
Good idea on the parking lot, though.

Welcome on buddy. Sorry about the drop, at least its a recent bike that you can get the parts for if you havent already.
I am VFR for life, but after what you said bout the triumph I will probably go and google one and see whats so cool about em, cause I don't know yet.
Anyways, hope you post up some pics.

welcome aboard. I can recommend against an exhaust system... Avoid FosterRAD the importer for Laser here in the US. One of our members has been documenting his ordeal with them here for the last few months. The headache is just not worth it.
