I grew up around a 1984 VF1000F that my dad built for my mom. He blew the engine and fit a 1000R engine. I just purchased it from my mom this summer to start restoring. Also, the first weekend of October, I purchased a 1984 VF500F that had been sitting (4+ years). Once home, I pulled the tank and put some fresh fuel. The pump didnt seem to want to pump, so I hooked a line right to a bottle and let the carbs drink, and it fired right up. Once I get it cleaned up, this is going to be my play bike while finishing the VF1k.
