Andy Irwin, Glenn’s younger brother, took the Fireblade to a well deserved win yesterday ahead of Redding and Brookes on Ducati’s at Thruxton Great racing from start to finish, Hickman shot into the lead on the BMW, O Halloran on the McAms Yamaha was fighting for the lead with him, Christian Iddon was in the top 4 as Irwin gradually fought his way forward, the lead was changing constantly between those 4 until Redding joined them during the last couple of laps, taking the lead in the penultimate lap only to have Irwin pass again and hold it to the line
