Haven't posted in quite a while, I'm sure you all survived without me.
I finally hit 50K this morning on "Valentino" during the morning commute. He turned over just as I was crossing the Chattahoochee River the unofficial demarcation line between city and suburbs for the north-west Atlanta area.
This bike still makes me smile every time. I wish I could claim all those miles, only 22,700 are mine since Jan 2013.

    Congrats!

BTW ... I have a buddy who used to live in Kennesaw up until last year. He's since move just inside Alabama on to a more rural property where he's opened a dirt bike track / radio controlled helicopter field.

Welcome to the "Over 50 Club". I' ve been a member for a while now. I'm in my second den and well on my way to achieving the Third Den award. I'm just a wink away from the metric bicentennial.

Just thinking that those 22,000+ miles are the equivalent of several trips across the country and back. Great job, and continued happy riding!

So did I but in years! I turned 50 this past Monday. I was thinking, "Hey another Taurus!".

Miles is cool too. I'm getting close though, I think I'm between 48k-49k on my 6 Gen at the moment. Haven't ridden it these past few days as I've been working from home, but by the time R3 rolls around in thinking I'll be at or past 50k. Congrats on the milestone.

Actually. I was not far off that for the first two years. I was changing everu 5000 km where the good book says 1200 km or so. So I was doing an oil change a month. That was getting expensive so I went to doing an oil chanhe ever 10,000 km. Still more often than recommended but when doing it on the 10,000.km mark, uou don't need to keep track of mileage.
