Just wanted to give a quick introduction...

I just picked up a 93 VFR after giving a cruiser a shot for the past year. I've been riding since 1990 and this is my fourth VFR. I've owned a '86, '90 and '94 and have owned about 12 different sportbikes and the VFR is definitely my favorite.

I found this one and just couldn't resist. It's got 15K miles on it and is outstanding condition. All I've done so far is relocated the turn signals into the rear fairing. Next thing on the list is to find a slip-on exhaust or try and modify the stocker to get some of that V4 sound to sing through.

Great looking bike zerks. Pearl white is THE best color. I'd put a high mount pipe on if I were you, show off that nice 8 spoker.

I can't afford "out the a$$", so I guess I'll start considering other options. Am I correct in say that you can use a 4th GEN slip-on if you're willing to have a custom mid-pipe made?

Or, has anyone modified their 3rd GEN stock pipe?

There are a few on here that have done it. For me, I wanted to stay as close to gen specific as possible so I didn't go that route. What I really wanted to do was purchase a high left side exhaust and mount my V/H pipe to it. After looking at the cost to do so, I decided spending half the value of the bike just to look unique wasn't prudent. I love the pipe I bought performance and sound wise. The fact that it fits the era of the bike is a big plus to me as well.
