Problem: Excess sliding on the tank when wearing anything but leather pants. I found myself sliding forward on the tank when I commuted in my textile overpants or jeans (even when squeezing with my knees.) Solution: Custom made (prototype) Hammer Grips tank grips. I belong to an Sv forum and I knew a member there made custom grips for the Sv650. So I contacted BigHammer about making custom 6th Gen VFR800 grips. I made a template, sent it to him, and a few days later I had tank grips! For $25 shipped, I am super happy with it!
Any more information on the grips, such as what the texture is or what they're made of. I gots me some Tech Spec on my tank for the same reason and love it to death, completely changed the way I ride.
