A quick intro. My first bike was 1968 Penton 125, puchased in 1970. Rode in the woods in New England for several years. Got a job as a salesman at Bettencourt's Honda in West Bridgewater, Mass, in '75. Eventually made manager of their No. Attleboro, Mass store. Won a trip to Japan got to see the intro of the GoldWing at the Suzuka race circuit. Had an XR-500 demo bike to take customers woods riding and a CBX for the street! Best job I ever had. Involved in serious crash in late '79, pretty much haven't ridden since. I did buy my son a 1988 Interceptor 500 for high school graduation. I lived in No. Dakota for 18 years, recently moved to the same town as him. He currently rides a 600 F4, so it only seemed natural that I get a bike to ride with him, and what better bike than my 1996 VFR.

Ed: Thanks for the background and welcome!

Note that the riding gear has improved considerably since the white disco days of '79.

Intro the bike cruising bike at Suzuka, eh? that must have been a site... then I guess the 'wing was more like the 'busa back then than the 2-wheeled land barge of today.

Williamsburg is a nice ride South for me. Maybe I'll make it down later this year. not to look for a house though ;-)

    Peace - Paul

Welcome, and congrats on the VFR. Glad you have re-joined the two-wheeled club! Amazing how much better bikes are now.
