Hopefully there is someone out there that can throw some light on a niggling problem thats spoiling my enjoyment of my 2002 vfr800 vtec. The symptoms are what i can only describe as a roughness through the chain /sprockets on light throttle openings, i suspected a worn chain and after close inspection decided to replace just the chain as there seemed to be little wear to the sprockets. However after the new chain was fitted the problem persists it feels as though the chain snatches at times and i expect to find an obvious problem next time i stop and inspect it but find nothing amiss. The chain is correctly adjusted theres no play in the wheel bearings there is a small amount of play in the cush drive however could this cause my symptoms.Any input greatly appreciated:confusion::confusion:

When the cush drive rubbers on my old Suzuki started to go, the effect was a bit like using a bungie cord chain introducing a weird lag between applying power and things happening. As the problem got worse over many months it was not immediately apparent. Once the cush drive rubbers were replaced the bike was noticeably more compliant and easy to ride.

If you do decide to replace the cush drive rubbers - PLEASE don't employ these guys .. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YzQCrUyVI8
:smile-new: If you think that is bad beware that is just the first of three videos recording their efforts!

    Take care
