FI light glowing...not "on"...no PGM-FI fault codes stored...FIXED

I thought this was such a good fix that I'm reposting here:

I had this issue on the return leg of a 2100 mile trip in 2008, and only now figured out the solution after reading the above referenced threads..five long years later. It only requires disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling the ground block ("mystery orange connector" as it may be known) and coating with liberal amounts of dielectric.

This fix prevented a complete disassembly and painstaking troubleshooting procedure of the whole bike. Hopefully this post would be worthwhile to someone with a similar problem.
