Retrofit of an R1 rectifier on my VFR today, hopefully the end of my continuous charging woes!

    If it's a Shindengen i still wouldn't trust it !!!!!!

Shindengen translates into English as "You walkin' home, sucka !!" :tongue-new:

I could be wrong, but me thinks the tail body wont fit over that.

    - Its not the R/R I would have picked, but ignore the group curmudgeon......

All I could get at the time and fed up with paying out £100 every 18 months or so. Interested to know about alternatives to Shindengen though, I admit the only other make I'm aware of and have used in the past is SUN which was worse and would never use again!!!

The tall body was a snug fit but there is just enough room, I will see hot warm it gets after a long run, the SUN model got really hot!

The latest design mosfet R/R by Shindengen is the FH020AA and the only one I will use to fix a charging system. I havent heard of a single failure of one.
    Get it at www.roadstercycle.com

I wouldnt freak about Shindengen, but they supply near all the motorcycle OEMs. Yeah their early shunt designs were poor, but the later MOSFET styles are way better. -- Oh yeah, the OEM 5th gen replacements are junk.
