Had a chance to ride this bad boy today, I felt way cooler and badder then any Harleydude ever did. If I had Randy's pension this would be in my stable.....light, comfortable and hold on.
If I have Randy money I would get one for each of you plus a bottle of scotch That bike is SICK I think Echonine get one of those.
HEY! ITS ABOUT THE BIKE! Not my pension. Thought for a moment this was going to turn into an "If I had Randy's Pension." thread. That is a sweetie pie. Where did you score the chance to ride one of those. Surely a dealer did not let that go out for a test drive.
He did, actually it was the 2nd time. The neighbourhood Honda dealer flogs Duc's as well. I've had a couple of oil changes and a set of tires this season and he's been nice enough to entice me with a demo each visit. First was what I'd been lusting after since it's last makeover, the Multistrata. It didn't disappoint but I found the VFR a more appropriate sport tourer for what I do. Although, that new Skyhook suspension and the torque were amazing, was also surprised that corner speeds for me were very simlar to the VFR. The next visit I needed a loaner to get to work and my curiosity had me asking for the Diavel, man what a cool bike, feels a little small and light compared to mine and the seating position is a little more cruiser then standard but not much. The noise that comes from it is perfect, the torque is crazy, the bars actually flex quite a bit when you accelerate hard. I'm not sure how they did it but you don't need a screen, it deflects the wind well. It would be the perfect bike for Long's territory, cruising with the ocean at your side and "no paticular place to go." I would not trade the VFR for it but I've never wanted a 2nd bike soooo bad.
Ok Ok, could we please get back on topic here..........If I had Randy's money...... It was just getting fun John
If I had Randy's money, I would probably ride out to visit Randy so I could learn how the better half live, first hand! :hss:
We do a vendor day every year at work and I managed to snake a 40min ride on one of these and OMG that bike is insane... What did you think of "lunacy" mode.. I think if I ever managed to get one it wouldn't come out of Urban unless I was on the track. Also had a chance to take the KTM RC8 out for a spin...It came with a disclaimer from the dealer "This is a very aggressive race bike if you don't pay attention it WILL throw your ass off and then after you right me a $18k check we'll tow your wrecked bike over to your house for free"
