It hit 32 degrees F today and I could see wet pavement ruts between the ice that's still on our street. It made a clear path to the main road that is ice free and dry. I got done putting my new upper cowl stay on and just couldn't resist. It was that strip with no ice that led to the stop sign at the end of the road was calling me. Anyway, a slow ride in the paved ruts with ice on both sides, putting down the road with both feet on the ground just incase it tries to slip...

It was a cold ride but there's nothing that I'd rather be doing at that point.

It's funny how 32 degrees is warm at the end of the winter, but you'd almost not be cought dead riding at 32 at the end of fall...

It was 40ish down here in missouri, I also couldn't resist, got both of my "modern" bikes out. Lots of the grassy areas still snow covered, but all of our roads are clear, but some areas with snow melt patchs running across the road. Biggest issue for me was the sand all over the roads. Both bikes have brand new tires, and I wiped them down with brake cleaner before leaving... didn't want mold release spoiling my day. Your right about getting used to low temps, after so many cold days this winter, upper 30's feel balmy. Not going to know what to do when we hit 70 degrees for the 1st time this year. You should see the pile of riding gear on my downstairs ping pong table!
