Who's my favorite motorcycling idol? That's easy cebuVFR. Wayne Rainey. Always has been.

I actually got to see Wayne race at Elkhart Lake in 1987,the year he won the AMA Superbike championship on the VFR750. I've always admired Wayne's simple race strategy. Get the holeshot and split,let the other guys fight it out for second. Wayne was all business. Once the flag dropped he didn't F#*k around,he was gone.

His accident was humbling,but he's still my hero. He went out a Champ,leading the race,hard on the gas.

 

Eddie Lawson...got my generation interested in racing.
