Does anyone know of a kit—or if it's even possible for that matter—which cuts out a piece of the fairing near the tank to install a compartment like on an ST1300, NT700V or nearly every other full-fledged sport tourer? I searched both the forum and the googlez to no avail. I want to keep certain things handy, locked and charging and that would be the best place for me to have it. Any info in this matter would be much obliged.
If your bike is a non-ABS model there is a small space on the right side of the bike under the black panel under the seat that might work without too much modification. It's right across from the battery... I'd be careful about charging off the battery when the bike's not running though; 6th Gens have their issues with dead batteries too...
