Hello all. First post but have been lurking here for a long time. I used to own a 2001 VFR800. I loved that bike! Prior to that I owned an 87 VFR700. Really loved that one too. I came across a craigslist ad the other day of one for sale( 87 VFR700). Owner says it needs a carb rebuild, fuel pump and some fairing screws. It has been sitting a long time. I am going to check it out Monday but I wanted to get some additional opinions. He is asking $800 firm but has had it listed for a couple months from what I can tell. I always liked my 700 and this actually might be my old bike. I have been looking for a project bike since I currently own a 07 Yamaha FJR1300. So what do you think about that price? It seems in the right range but it's hard to know since I have been away from VFR's for a while. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA!!!! :thumbsup:
