Does anyone know how to use the helmet lock under the seat? If so, would someone be kind enough to post a pic of how it's supposed to work?

I have tried to figure it out, but I don't even know which hook is the right one, or what part of the helmet should go on correct hook. It'll be quite helpful to be able to use the locks when riding 2-up, as the space in the hard boxes can be freed up, or I can ditch the panniers altogether and use just the trunk for my passenger.

Hmm no pic, but the mettle d ring goes through the kook. It does matter how the helmet is faced as the strap is so short.
I think i've used it twice as it;s such a pain i just take my helmet with me.

    It is not working

I try several time and it not working to well and my is a 6th generation. The D ring from the helmet is too short, I should say the hook is too far:ncb::ncb:

A lot of new helmets have shorter chin straps. If you have a short chin strap it will NEVER reach. What I did with my other helmet was to attach a circular key-ring to the d-ring of the helmet. It doesn't interfere with strap operation, and gives just that little extra reach to the helmet lock. I never found it a security issue either, because it is so damn awkward to take the key-ring off at such a low angle under the bike.
