Factory Hard Bags and Aftermarket Exhausts

Hello All,

I have many VFR questions and am happy to have found this great site of yours!  I just purchased a new 2005 VFR800 ABS with the Honda factory hard saddle bags.  Of course, I want to add aftermarket pipes, but am concerned about clearance issues.  The factory bags have a tight fitting black metal mounting frame the goes around the stock pipes.  Has anyone out there tried to fit aftermarket pipes under these frame/bracket things?  I know it seems the Staintune pipes are the way to go, but I am impartial to the sound of the Microns.  I also would like to go for carbon fiber cans for the heat issues.  Any help is much appreciated.
