Wow, what a PITA! Sure hope this shock performs as claimed. A tip for anyone doing a shock change. The manual says to remove the rear fender, remove the exhaust system, etc etc. It ain't joking! Remove the exhaust system before removing the shock's lower linkage. The thru-bolt holding the "can" in place is a booger to access with the centerstand down. Also note that when re-installing the exhaust, the bracket on the can tends to get caught on the hardware at the bolt-up point. Patience grasshoppa, patience. :smile: Edit: 2002 year model.
