What have you guys paid for your front brake lines? Any brands or types to avoid, are Honda brake lines ok? I'm taking my bike to Honda service this month, I want to be sure that I am not getting charged too much for them..

    Thanks!

Changing/bleeding the front lines shouldn't be more than a couple of hours. The cost of the lines, I cannot say. I recently replaced all the rubber clutch and brake lines with HEL steel braided lines and I did it myself and I would take those over stock Honda lines any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Doing all 9 lines (6 GEN) it took me most of the day, there is one line under the seat that was a bear to get to, that and I got a late start. Technically you can replace just the front lines without having to deal with the linked braking system, but if you mess with the rear brake lines at all, then you'll have to deal with it. Like Revguy said, if you don't think you can trust them, then don't take it to them.

havent shopped this much yet. but ive seen the quality stainless steel kits for my sixth gen go for around $300 for a complete kit. have no idea what the stock ones go for. makes sense to me to upgrade as long as ur paying to replace them anyway

I ordered braided lines to front brakes of my 3rd gen from ebay from Trikersues (eBay My World - trikersues) in Bulgaria two years ago.

I have modified clipons, so I needed 2 inch longer ones than the standard ones and they provided those with no extra cost. Lines are good quality and supplied with all needed accessories. The change itself took about one hour.

The rear one is bit bigger job as OOTVS told, so I skipped that one. Actually the front is much more important...
