Hey guys, I got some new mufflers for my '85 VF500F, and I want to get them on there soon.

But first I would like to take off the common collector and get rid of all the rust on it.

So my question is, what gaskets will I need when I do this?
I've been searching for exhaust gaskets, and so far all I've found is OEM# 18291-216-000 / 18291-MN5-650, such as this:
    http://www.oldbikebarn.com/part.php?id=838&subcategory=Exhaust Gaskets&bike=VF500&DisplayPerPage=10

However, as far as I can tell, those are the gaskets that go between the cylinder heads and the headers.
What I need are the gaskets that go between the headers and the collector (4) and the collector and the mufflers (2).

Have any of you guys taken this stuff apart, and know what I need, and where I can get it?

I don't even know if the gaskets in there are shot or not, but I'm betting they're not perfect, since the collector is kind of rusty.

    Thanks guys!
    -Chris

I'm not 100% on this but when I took my parts bike apart it didn't have any gaskets or seal other than the ones that go to the head.

Yeah that is what I need, but that's at OEM prices which are still pretty expensive!

That was just to get you a breakdown of parts and #s. Do a search for lower prices. Did you get a chance to do any mods to your airbox?
