    Hi all,

I've just bought a 2010 vfr 800 in aus, and I'm struggling to find an exhaust for it. It seems everyone made exhausts up until 2009, so my question is will the 2009 exhaust fit on the 2010, or is it significantly different?

Hi and welcome to the MadHouse :welcome: !

When you get a chance please drop by the "introductions" section of the forum to say hello to the rest of the folks on here - they don't bite but will expect to see at least one photo of your VFR or you face merciless raggin.

You may also want to update your forum profile (Forum Actions : Edit profile) to include the specs of your bike and a rough location so the information appears automatically alongside all your posts and if you need help with a problem you may find someone living nearby willing to swing by and offer advice especially if you have a well stocked beer fridge :drink:.

    :focus:

As for finding an exhaust - the later 6th Gen models cause confusion to some retailers/websites, as especially in North America, Honda stopped selling the 800 in 2009 only offering the 1200VFR. However in other markets Europe and Australasia the 800 continued to be sold, so depending on which website you try you may find they won't list an 800 model until the fully redesigned 8th Gen - 2014 800 model was launched.

Anyway the heart of the message is that 800 models sold by Honda after 2009 remain basically the same bike as the model released in 2006 - apart from colour changes (as Honda needed to clear their parts inventory of old model stuff ready for a new model). So you should be fine with an exhaust suitable for a bike from 2006 onwards.

    Hope that helps

Thanks for replying. I've updated my profile and when I get a chance to take a photo I'll be sure to post it up.
