I didn't have much luck with the 5th gen forum so i thought i'd be more general. Is there any other exhaust pipes (from the heads back to muffler) that will work on the 5th gen? I've seen a few 6th gen pipes on sale but not 5th gens. I need to get this ASAP with some time for the parts to come in from ebay or the salvage yard. Thanks in advance!

Dont know for sure but I think all 5th and 6th fit exept 98 and 99 have no holes for o2 sensors. dont hold me to this though.

This is a '98 or '99? The 6th gen header has a little smaller diameter tubes than the '98-'99. 6th gen pipes are also going to have a catalytic converter which you don't want/can't fit on the '98-'99. Check eBay, there are a couple manufacturers making replacements now, plus the OEM are still available from Honda.

I dont want the OEM since they r way too expensive. I think the shop can take the cat out. My front pipes were bent so thats really all i need. Will the smaller 6th gen pipes lower the performance on my 99?

I just got motad headers for my bike but have not installed them yet (cost was about 550 with shipping included) The stock set I have I would let go of for $150 plus shipping. one of the flanges has a warp to it but it does not affect the seal to the head. PM me if you are interested and want to see pics
