According to the Haynes Manual for the 6th gen VFR 800, the European models "had modified handlebar switchgear and wiring to accommodate hard-wired lighting and hazard lights." As a result, the wiring is also different for the ECU connectors.

The 2002 models for the European market use the 38770-MCW-D02 (D02) ECU model, while the 2003-2005 use a 38770-MCW-D03 (D03) ECU.
The wire diagrams attached show that a ground wire and the white and yellow wires to the cam pulse generator have switched connectors.

    My questions are:
Are there any other changes to the D03 ECU besides rerouting wires?
Could 2003-2005 European models use the D02 and vice versa if the pins in the connectors are rerouted appropriately?
If so, what is the pin-wise routing on the D02 (wire colours)?
