I have a 2004 vfr. When I run it through the first three or four gears hard. Then when I chop the throttle to shift to the next gear, it does not drop to idle. Instead it will die. It only happen when you go from hard acceleration to mild and not every time. Any idea's?

Mine does this too. Hard acceleration and then pulling in the clutch results in a stall but it is intermittent. I bought the bike about 3 weeks ago and this has happened 3 times already. What gives? Anybody else had this problem or better yet have a fix for it??

Guess I fixed my own problem. I found the bike to be idling at just over 1000. Turned the idle up tp 1200 and rode all over the North GA mountains this weekend without any trouble. Love the bike more every time I ride it!
