My father in law bought a 1982 V45 sabre, and after a LONG run of repairs getting it up to speed, we have some new issues. The cycle has just under 3500 original miles, all of the digital gauges worked when he bought the bike, now after a Yamaha dealer cleaned the carbs, and did a turn signal repair, the fuel gauge no longer works. It shows the Full Fuel limit all of the time. Before i dig into this thing, do any of you have any experience with this, or any suggestions for me?

    Thanks

It could be the float inside the tank is stuck in the UP position. Get all the gas out of the tank and see if you can hear the float moving around when you gently shake it up and down.

I believe that there is a test in the manual.
