    So…
After my previous problems the bike just came back to life. Still sent it in to my local bike shop to be looked at, they couldn’t find any issue , however they did clean an grease the dreaded orange connector and checked/cleaned the other earths.
Has been fine up to last week when out the blue the engine died and the electrical systems went dead
Battery has been checked and is fine, earths rechecked, reg/rec checked, fairings off and pulled loom about no difference

What’s happening is… turn on ignition everything comes on briefly then quickly fades out including the time clock. Turn it off and leave it for a while and the clock comes back. The longer you leave it the further it gets through it’s start up sequence (even if you leave it days it doesn’t get far) have tried a jump pack on it and still the same result. It’s like there’s something that’s “charging up” when you turn on the ignition and when it gets to a certain point it kills the electrics.

    Any ideas welcome

Sounds like a major bad connection somewhere or a dying battery.

Have a very good look at the Starter Relay red connector which has the main Red Wire connecting to Main Fuse A 30amp. Check for an overheated Red Wire and its Spade connection can develop high resistance joints.

Also have a close inspection of Main Fuse B 30amp the fuse holder, wiring and inline connector can all develop overheated burnt wiring and high resistance joints.

Check battery terminals are clean and tight. Make sure you are working with a healthy fully charged battery.

Measure the voltage at the Clock Fuse (Test points on the top of the fuse) What happens to this voltage when you switch On and the Clock display fades away?

Lets know how you go with these checks.

What he said. Also worth doing the 3 stator checks once you get a warm bike.

As it looks like you can’t see the picture, it was the starter relay main fuse had gone into meltdown

    Good news!....BUT..
Bloody shame you chose to ignore the suggestion made twice to check the Main Fuse back in November last year in your "Dampening my spirit" post, when you had Exactly the same fault.
I may as well have talked to a brick wall back then!

Tbh did check back then but couldn’t see anything. Think water had got in at that point causing the original issue, then festered until a proper death now. Annoyingly have had any issues since then until now
